college interview question

What do you wear to a college interview? This really isn't a college interview, it's an interview for a particular program. What should I wear? Can I just wear jeans and a T-Shirt (but looking nicely)?

the interview is for the UPENN Jerome Fisher Management and Technology Program

Any help is appreciated.

Ehhh I wouldn't go with the T-shirt and jeans - try to be a bit more "professional" looking - I mean, it kinda detracts from the first impression.

For all my interviews I generally wear slacks and a rolled-up dress shirt; it's like semi-casual/semi-professional.

It really depends on where the interview is held. If it's at say a starbucks I think whatever you wear to school should be fine, but if it's at an office, maybe dress up a little.

In any situation, it never looks bad if you dress-up, but it can only hurt to dress casually. Why take the chance?

I would say that for just about any interview, whatever it is for, and whereever it is being held, the minimum is something like khaki pants and a collared shirt for a guy, or the female equivalent. No sneakers. No flip-flops.

Especially since it's for a particular program, I'd imagine that your first impression will matter more.

Seriously, look nice. I agree with Hunt- khakis, dress shirt (with the sleeves rolled up if you want to look a bit more casual, TUCKED IN), tie optional, nice shoes. You can never make a second first impression.
