I'm still deciding and would like to know how is the college life at Furman University for an International student?

@yhd007: What do you mean by “college life”? And have you been to visit the campus?

I have been on an official tour of Furman, and the campus looks like a country club with lots of nice housing options. Lots of preppy looking students, also. Beyond that I can’t offer any comments.

@gandalf78 By campus life I mean: Food, social life, party. Basically everything else except academics as I’ve heard that it’s pretty rigorous.

No, I haven’t visited the campus.

@yhd007: Furman is on the outskirts of Greenville, and is a couple of miles from the downtown area there (but is connected by bicycle/walking trails); the Furman students who toured us around were very positive about Greenville being a fun place to be when they head off campus; not like a large urban center, but lots of interesting activities. I don’t think that the students lack for a social life on campus. Some friends of mine have a child there who is a junior, and who loves the place; she started out in a sorority and has had a positive experience with that, but has scaled it back somewhat over the past two years due to academics and other extracurricular activities.

The Furman cafeteria that I visited looked as if it would have anything you might want to eat. Generally, the Furman students that I saw on our tour seemed happy to be there.

I hope that this helps.

Thanks @gandalf78. That does help a lot. :)
