<p>A dismal attempt on my part to make the title rhyme..
Anyway, I'm in Singapore right now so i can't make college choices based on visits. I'd really appreciate it if you guys can help me check out this college list and if possible give me some suggestions or chance me? Thanks very much :)</p>
<p>--Some basic stuff--
Race: Asian (Vietnamese)
SAT I: 2330 single sitting (780 M 750 CR and 800 WR)
SATII: Math II 780, Chem 740 (1st time in Jan, not retaking).
Taking Literature and Physics in November.
Studied high school under the GCE 'A' Level system. Predicted grades straight A.
Very competitive public school. Rank: Top 2% (no exact rank)</p>
<p>Intended major: Political Science </p>
<p>Type of schools interested in: middle-sized, like 4000-5000 students or so. I think LACs are a little too small and the UC schools are too big. But then again i've never actually visited those schools so i can really use some perspectives :)</p>
<p>Setting: Urban. I like cities :) </p>
<p>High school only allows students to apply to 8 schools. I can stretch it to 10 schools max.</p>
<p>Okay, here's my list for now:
- Yale (Financial Aid)
- Columbia (Financial Aid)
- Georgetown (maybe Financial Aid)
- George Washington
- Washington University in St. Louis (maybe Financial Aid)
I'd put in maybe 2 more Ivies? Considering: Princeton Harvard Dartmouth (<-- not exactly urbanite) or Penn
I'm considering Amherst for its need-blind policy (although my parents can pay it's always better if i can get some financial aid) and its location</p>
<p>'Safety' right now is American University</p>
<p>That's about 9 schools overall. I still have 1-2 more choices left. Boston College?</p>
<p>Thanks to anyone who replies :)</p>
