College List help

Could you guys help me find a good match college for me? It'll be greatly appreciated! :)

Quick stat overview-
4.0 GPA
2300+ SAT
Very hard classes
Officer for StuCo, Science Olympiad, FPS, NHS
A few awards (nothing that'll blow your mind)
I also work, volunteer and do productive things in the summer

Things I want:
I would prefer somewhere on the east coast
A strong pre-med program/biology program
Small town to small city
COLD WEATHER (I'm willing to compromise a bit, but snow should not a surprise)
Diversity
Research opportunities

I'm specifically looking for matches. I'll be applying to some of the Ivies for reaches, and I will be applying to my state school as a safety, but my list is pretty weak in the middle. Suggestions on how to fill it?

Check out SUNY Geneseo and Binghamton

Your stats are good enough that most match schools will be reaches due to the admission %age being low. You might look through here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1461983-competitive-full-tuition-full-ride-scholarships.html</a> You’d be looking at merit $ and your stats should be a match for some of the competitive scholarships.

Your stats are very good, so you should even have a shut with the HYP schools and ivies. For cold/east schools I would suggest UMich, UofToronto and McGill. They are probably the three best public schools in the area and with your grades you should have no problems getting into any of them. FYI McGill is close to some awesome ski hills.

all three are also well known for their science/premed programs

U. Rochester, Holy Cross, Brandeis, Tufts, BC (Boston, but is not downtown), Clark would be a good safety
Is that 4.0 weighted or unweighted?

Look in the list of top 20 liberal arts colleges.
Top 5 remain reaches for everyone, but the others provide excellent science education, especially since you don’t have to compete with grad students for lab time.

Holy Cross has fantastic pre-med program with nice campus.

Thanks guys, this helped a lot! And the 4.0 was unweighted. I didn’t think weighted matters much, but its about 4.8.

Definitely consider U Rochester. My guy has very similar stats and loves it there (just finished freshman year - currently working in two labs for the summer).
