So my first-choice school would most definitely be Stanford.

After that, I'm applying to HYP, and Duke.

Univ. of Tulsa and Oklahoma State (Okla. resident) are my "safety" schools I guess.

Is this plan screwed up or will it work out all right? Should I apply to fewer top schools and one more on the level of Univ. of Tulsa?

...really depends on your GPA/SAT scores...

GPA 4.47 Weighted 4.00 Unweighted
SATI 790M/790V/770W - 2350 total
ACT 35 Composite
Class rank: 1/264

Wow! Plan on getting a full ride to OU and Tulsa. Seriously, if I were you I would look into alot more colleges. Sure, every application costs $ and takes effort, but it's definitely definitely worth it all in the end when you have many options to choose from. You should consider...

Cal-Berkeley
UCLA
Virginia
North Carolina
Illinois
Michigan
Vanderbilt
Emory
Wake Forest
...
and an Ivy or two

Thanks for the information. I was worried about applying to too many schools and was having trouble finding some in the "Tulsa" level.

Some schools that I would say are in the "Tulsa level"....... (schools that are SURE safeties and you're probably gonna get a ton of merit aid from them)...

Washington State University
University of Arizona
Arizona State University
University of Kansas
University of Iowa
Florida State University
North Carolina State University
