College Major help?

As I was applying to colleges a few months ago, I put my “intended major” as education/early childhood education. After thinking about this, I realized this is actually not what I want to do. I’m confused, I keep second guessing, and I just don’t love the major as much as before (i never even really LOVED it then).

When I get accepted to college, can I immedietly change into another major, or can i switch to undecided? I thought maybe i wanted to do sociology because I’m taking the class and I love it, but then I started seeing a nutritionist and I thought about getting into that field and having a job like that and it seemed like something i could do. Then i thought about fashion, then hospitality management. As you can see, I’m very unsure about everything and I dont really know what is good for me and what i like/dislike. I am confused as to which path I’m headed in and I don’t really know what to do. How will I find what I like and what is some advice anyone could give?

Wait to get to college and take different classes and join different clubs. Find something you really want to do and then change your major. I wouldn’t change your major right away, just wait until you find something you’re sure you want to do. So just keep the education major for now, and switch when you’re ready. There’s no use changing it if it’s just going to be changed again.

At some schools it’s a lot harder to change major than at others. It really depends on the school and major you want to switch into. If you want to do engineering, it’ll be very hard to do so at most schools.
