We have always been able to link from one of these forums to another through an other college majors link at the top of each separate forum’s page. This has disappeared and it is now made much more of a pain to do that. Many members participate in both the musical theatre forum and the theatre/drama forum. Moving back and forth easily is important to encourage members to post in both. Why has this link been removed?

Hi @alwaysamom…I’m trying to recall what you are describing here, and I am having a bit of trouble. Are you saying there were links to every other major forum on each individual major forum? You’re not talking about the top-level College Majors container page, are you? That one is here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-majors/.
I may be misunderstanding what you are describing.
Hi @Lenitus, if you go to the MT forum, at the top of the page where it says Musical Theatre Major, just to the left of that, it used to say Other College Majors, which was a link to take you back to the College Majors page. You could easily select Theatre/Drama and switch. Yes, that page you’ve linked is the one that we used to be able to easily link to. 
Thanks for the response. Are you talking about “Top Forums” section that is on the left side of the page? Is that where the link to the college majors page was before?
At the top where it says Home/College Discussion/College Admissions and Search/Musical Theatre Major.
The link that disappeared was between College Admissions and Search and Musical Theatre Major.
Ah, okay…you’re talking about the “breadcrumbs”, which is the actual term used for that particular piece of navigation. From what you’re saying, it was structured like this before:
Home / College Discussion / College Admissions and Search / College Majors / Musical Theater Major
However, after speaking with one of the tech team members, these ‘breadcrumbs’ are created in such a way that this hierarchy above would not have appeared before. Sorry, just trying to get to the bottom of this for you.
This is the first we have heard about this, so we just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing. We’ll continue to look into it the best we can. Sorry for any inconveniences!
Yes, that is how it appeared before. Several parents on the MT forum have discussed it today so I’m not the only one who noticed it’s gone!

I’ve just noticed this morning another place where this has happened. In the Parent Cafe, you used to be able to link to the Parent Forum at the top of the page, same setup as I’ve described in the Musical Theatre forum. That ability is now gone, too.
Wonder if this has also occurred on other forums as well. Thanks for reporting on it!
Don’t know if copy/paste will show in the right format, but I just glanced randomly at “Nursing Major” to see if it was the same as Musical Theatre & it is (with “College Majors” not included). I’m another MT/Theatre person who goes back & forth. It looks like the “College Majors” part (breadcrumb? learned something new!) was taken out everywhere. We also noticed that currently on the College Search & Selection forum there is no way to access the threads in that forum internally. You can click the links to that forum, but it appears as only a container of sub-forums. Rest assured the content is still around, but can only be access directly via the URL (or through an outside link, such as a Google search result link). We’ve alerted the vendor to this issue as well as the breadcrumb menu issue that is causing certain links to no longer display.
It is quite aptly named if you think about it 
It basically shows you a trail of links that lead back to the home page, more or less.
This is still an issue. Is the vendor working on the “breadcrumbs” menu problem?
^^I also am wondering. It’s been a week now. Should we be hearing something back soon? Or is this one of those things that has just disappeared forever with no explanation, like the new post buttons in the MT schools forum?
This issue wasn’t meant to happen, and was a side effect of some other updates that were made. We’re still going back and forth with the vendor on getting this fixed. Sorry it has taken much too long already 
Argh this is so frustrating. I hope it gets fixed soon because it is a PITA to navigate
They got the College Search & Selection sub-forums to show up properly on the breadcrumbs menu, but for some reason can’t seem to replicate it to the others.
Bizarre.
As I understand, the fix for the breadcrumb menu is forthcoming. Sorry for the extra (and unnecessary) hassle with this!
