Is it possible for me to participate in the College Match using non-binding schools and still apply EA to University of Chicago?

No. You have to pick one or the other. If you choose not to rank the coleges, meaning they roll over to regular decision, than you can apply to University of Chicago. However, University of Chicago is a Questbridge partner college. Why don’t you just apply there through Questbridge? Sure it’s a little earlier but it gives you extra essays to explain how awesome you are.

Trust me man. I have been battling with myself whether or not to apply Harvard EA or Questbridge.

Lol do Questbridge. I’m doing it, so I get to apply to 8 different schools EA/ED xD

I just don’t want to apply and then be binded XD. But thanks, i’ll probably just do QB then.

University of Chicago is a non-binding school. If you get accepted to a non-binding school through Questbridge, then you will not be required to go there. It’s kind of confusing I know. Only if you get accepted to a binding school such as Columbia or Brown does the Questbridge process become binding.

One strategy if you haven’t figured it out yet is to apply to all EA schools:

Princeton
Yale
Stanford
University of Chicago
MIT
Notre Dame

That way if you apply to all of these and get into one, you are free to go anywhere else.

The last time I checked, University of Chicago is a binding school. Where did you get the information that it is non-binding?
