<p>I was so shocked to get matched. I read so many posts of people who did not get matched from previous years and they were 10X more accomplished than me. I cried in the bathroom when I found out. <p>Essays: To be frank, I’ve always prided myself in my writing abilities and definitely think my essays helped me immensely. I received positive feedback from my peer editors. For one of my essays, I wrote about the experience of running a state-wide theater festival. For another, I wrote about completing my Pokedex as a significant achievement. </p>
<p>Letters of Rec: I got my recommendations from my history teacher of three years with whom I’ve always been on good terms while my second recommendation came from my pre-calculus and AP Stats teacher with whom I have a great student-teacher relationship. I am also fortunate to have a counselor that knows me quite well and I’m confident that all of my recommendations were well written and personal, though I did not read them myself.</p>
