College Matchmaker

I've asked people to "chance me" in the past, but now I'm really not sure what schools are best for me... so I'm gonna list all my stats, so let me know what you think might be a good school (that I can get into) for me.

INTERESTS

I want to go into premed, I think I'm going to major in bio but I'm not sure yet. I live in central NJ and I want to remain within a 6-7 hour driving distance

Thanks for all who took the time to give me advice!

“premed”

Med school is obscenely expensive. If you are certain that is your goal, you need to find the least expensive means possible to get your undergraduate degree out of the way. Rutgers is a fantastic public institution, and you are in-state. Don’t discount it just because you are in NJ and are almost required to hate it.

Your grades and your SATS are decent, but the simple truth is that the most important number for you to know if your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Sit your parents down and run the financial aid calculators at [College Calculators - savings calculators - college costs, loans](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Calculate Your Cost – BigFuture | College Board) and at [FinAid! Financial Aid, College Scholarships and Student Loans](http://www.finaid.org) Find out how your parents expect you to pay for your education. Is it all on them? Is it all on you? Is it somewhere in between? How much money is going to be available for your undergraduate degree, and how much help will they give you (if any) for med school? Please, please, please do not take this whole process one step further until the money situation is clarified.

I have already considered financial issues. My parents claim to have enough money to pay for my undergrad years and probably a small fraction of my med school as well, so that finances aren’t really an issue…I want to go to whatever the next step of college selection is.
