<p>If I am not planning to buy a meal plan from SUNY or just college in general, how much should I expect food expenses to be per month?</p>
<p>There are a lot of variables there. You can live off of ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and only spend $100 a month, or you can go out to eat twice a day and spend $1000 a month. </p>
<p>Are you planning on eating solely at home? Are you willing to sacrifice food choices in the name of saving money?</p>
<p>I will probably eat 2 meals a day and eat basic foods that take less than 15-30mins to make, and eat out at most twice a week with friends</p>
