The ‘Bad College Name’ discussion caused me to think – What if we rewrote the college name to give it an OPPOSITE meaning?
Here goes:
Ripon = Ripoff
Skidmore = Skidless (No need to kick the tires!)
Morehouse = Lesshouse (For those down-sizing)

Villano-fun. Heard it on our tour. My son can’t get it out of his head.
Washington & Lee -> George & Grant
Hamilton -> Jefferson
^ Probably should be Hamilton -> Burr
^ I thought that too for a sec, but Burr became a democrat at the start of the Democratic party, whereas Jefferson was an Anti-Federalist (and Hamilton a Federalist), and there’s the Hamilton 1st Secretary of Treasury vs. Jefferson 1st Secretary of State thing.
Then:
Hamilton -> The Jerk Who Shot Him
Chorus: Shot him, shot him, shot him…
But as Hamilton said, “I have never believed in Jefferson once! We have fought on like seventy-five different fronts! But when all is said and all is done…Jefferson has beliefs. Burr has none.”
To which Burr responds, of course, “how does Hamilton, an arrogant, immigrant, orphan, bastard, whoreson somehow endorse Thomas Jefferson, his enemy, a man he’s despised since the beginning, just to keep me from winning?”
Re #9, yes, if principles, in terms of their existence, are the criterion, then Hamilton and Jefferson are not opposites.
I’m really struggling with Rice. Beans? Couscous?
Re #4, “George” intended as “George III.”
