College of Arts and science Transfer?

Hey did anyone here apply for the College of Arts and Science and got accepted as a transfer student?

I heard they are more strict in accepting applicants. So can anyone give me any advice to transfer into that school?

This is like my dream school!!

Btw, on the cornell transfer supplement, it said SAT/ACT are optional, so are you at a disadvantage for not sending them in?

I'm not a College of Arts and Science transfer, but I know you basically need a very strong GPA, a rigorous curriculum, and a very good reason as to why you want to transfer. Make sure your essays stand out and demonstrate why you will be a good fit for Cornell. This basically goes for all of Cornell's schools.

well i want to major in bio. or premed. Arts and Science is a lot tuffer to get into than CALS?

CALS has a greater acceptance rate and i have a better chance to get into?

So what is the difference between arts and science and CALS?

Should I apply or CALS for the fall 09 instead of arts and science?

Does CALS even have a bio. department major or a pre-med?

EDIT

You need to do some research...if you had...you could have answered all of those questions.

well i found that CALS accepts more transfer student than arts and science. But I always assume that is because most of them are GT's?

CALS has a partnership with many community colleges and takes in a lot of students through that arrangement.

for the Required Preparatory Coursework, the problem i have is that I will be taking one general bio course by the end of the year. But I am willing to take a another Gen. Bio Course during the summer. Do I have to contact them for that and my situation? I mean I will have all the other require course completed as well such as Math, Physic and Chemistry.
