3.7 UW GPA, 4.5 W, 2000 SAT, very competitive public school in New Jersey, two honor societies, full-time employment + internships. Chances?
Be patient, youll find out on friday
@musicgirl131 I know haha but do you think my stats are looking pretty good?
You seem pretty strong. I’d just check to see what your 2000 converts to on a new scale. UIUC converts old scale to new just for an even playing field.
@STEMGuy2323 got denied…
@sgw2021 Did you put down only Business? Or a second choice major?
Only business, have zero interest in going if not for business. Oh well, everything happens for a reason I guess.
Sorry for perhaps appearing rude but was there anything you thought that might have hurt your app? (poor essay, bad grade trends, lack of business oriented ECs, etc.) Because it seems like your stats are above average for UIUC
@Potatomacarela My essay was pretty solid, I am pretty good at writing short essays like that. My grade showed an upward trend throughout high school, never got below a B. I work a full-time job (40 hours a week) on top of school and interning at my dad’s company. Not sure what part of application was that weak, but I’m sure I’ll find my place at a better business school
Yea… I would definitely aim higher than UIUC then. Dunno why but it seems like plenty of people around Illinois have gotten unlucky this year with college apps. Best of luck to you!
Hey don’t be disappointment. I got in today as a transfer student for business. 3.9gpa for accounting/major. Attend a community college and transfer to UIUC it’s that easy. I wish I could give you my acceptance because this is my backup and my first choice is USC. Anyway good luck with your academic endeavors!
How long did it take for you to hear back from UIUC? @pomeranian4rich
@phoenix23 I dont remember but I think 2 weeks after I applied
