College of Charleston Academic Merit Scholarships?

Thank you, Waiting2exhale! My D will be attending the admitted student weekend in a couple weeks! She visited most of the schools she applied to, but had not visited C of C as it is pretty far away from our home near Philadelphia. I’ve read great things about the school in the Fiske Guide and the Princeton Review’s book, “Colleges that Create Futures”. My D applied because she was impressed by the International Scholars Program (which, unfortunately she was not chosen to participate in) and wanted a mid-sized school in a vibrant urban setting. I hope she will like it!!!
If you know anything about the College of Charleston, please share!!! Thank you!!!

I know I have fallen in love with CofC, @LostatSea.

My daughter will also be attending during the admitted student weekend, and I expect that everything in her will beam when she does. It will be her first visit.

I think the Living Learning Communities, the wonderful language program, the truly special character and “feel” of the Honors College, and the inimical charm of the city of Charleston have made CofC the obvious choice for being on my daughter’s school list. I put it on the list, and they have been loving on my girl in a special way. I suspect CofC is where she will matriculate.

The College has continued to invest in the quality of its programs and raise its attractiveness to outstanding, ambitious students, and that investment is seeing a return in the College’s reception among students and families.

I found CofC through a parent right here at College Confidential, who will often come in and speak about the College’s programs and guidelines as she has learned of them through her own walk through admissions and now enrollment with her young person.

turns out no merit aide for D17. sigh
