College of Chemistry

svcreddy, I knew quite a few students who were accepted to CoC with lower stats last year because CoC, despite all it's weeding, would like more students and more diversity.

However, because it is a smaller college, it accepts less students than the other colleges. So, that makes it harder to get into than L&S or CNR.

to tastybeef: I did move on. I'm just warning hs seniors who think they're amazing and THINK they know what Berkeley's toughness means.

How qualified do you have to be to get around a 3.7-3.8 in CoC? I got a 5 on AP Chem, 800’s on SAT II Chem and Math 2, and a 750 on SAT I math. I have done research last summer and will do more this summer. Is this sufficient? Are the straight-A students even more qualified?

if you’re good at chem then you’re good at chem

lol good at high school chem, dunno about world-renowned Berkeley chem :(
