Hey all,

I'm considering applying for the communications graduate program in advertising and was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it. How good is the department? How difficult is it to get into? Anything at all? I haven't really found any "real" information.

Thanks

Sorry, I can not help you with your request.

I would say that while you continue to do research, you might look at Boston Universities Grad. Program. It is very good. They place lots of grads on Madison Ave. I consult in that industry, went to BU, and am on the Dean’s advisory board.

For full disclosure, my D is attending the UT college OF Communication. She is a tv/film major. She liked UT more than the urban setting of Boston.

Good Luck

I did my undergraduate in Advertising at Texas, and was amazed with the program and the ability to specialize in creative, media, or interactive, even at the undergrad level. Various rankings will show it as one of the top programs in the nation. Therefore, it is fairly competitive to be admitted into the M.A. and especially the Ph.D in Advertising programs.

Although biased, the best place to get the most information really is their website:
