Has anyone heard back yet? If so, please post the day you applied and your stats.

I have not heard anything yet either. My first choice is Pre PR. I am in state, not top 8% but pretty close and scores/grades way above the average for the communication school but I still only give myself a 50/50 chance of getting in just cuz of all the horror stories I have heard. Also I heard too many freshmen accepted last year so that class is way too big. As such, our class will have 800 fewer spots available!! Not good. It seems to me like McCombs is the school putting out the most acceptances at this time. Maybe the communications school is slated to send out acceptances after McCombs and engineering… we can only hope!!
Good luck!

@seniortx2013 pre PR is my top choice too! I am also a review admit, but out of state. At least everyone is in the same boat for right now- I’m hoping for a decision in the next two weeks!!

Just wanted to let you know that my D was an in-state auto admit and received her acceptance into the College of Communications Pre-PR on Friday, January 18th. Hope you hear something soon!! Waiting is the worst!!

I am OOS, applied early November and was accepted to the College of Communication on 1/28. Can’t wait to be a longhorn! Best of luck to all of you!

I’m an in-state auto-admit, and I found out that I’d been accepted into the College of Communication on Jan. 23. My major is undeclared though, so I don’t know if that had any effect on how quickly they accepted me into the school. I submitted my application right on the admissions deadline - Dec. 1.

Hope that info was of some use. Good luck!

I heard back January 10th (for pre-PR!), and I’m in-state and top 8%.

@danijo7 could you post your stats? You’re like the only non auto admit that’s gotten in so far. What major did you apply to?

My son got direct admit to Advertising (his first choice) out of state only top 22%, 30 ACT. His status changed to Accepted on jan 29. We got the letter in the mail a week later.

Hi again.
Here are my stats:

I have a 4.0 uw OOS, 6 APs and a bunch of honors classes from a competitive school in Pa, 2090 SATs. I think my LORs were probably amazing because I had a great relationship with the teachers and did well in their classes. I think my essays were great (worked really hard on them, and a ton of ECs both inside and outside of school, including leadership positions and volunteer work. No hook.

Any international students admitted yet?

Hi guys! I am a non-automatic applicant and just found out I have been accepted to COC as a Pre-PR major. UT has been my #1 choice all along, so this feels great!

Here are the stats that got me in, in case anyone is wondering:
In-state, Top 12% at a large, competitive 5A high school
GPA: 3.8 unweighted
SAT: 2260 (R: 800, M: 700, W: 760)
SATII Literature: 730
ACT: 32
ECs: 4 years of band, Editor of school Newspaper, UIL Journalism, internship with Dallas Morning News, NHS, VP of Space Science Club
Very good essays and Recs (in my opinion)
