College of Communications

i'm going to apply to the college of comm. for journalism.

But after looking around, i've learned you can only apply there after two years of college.

and i know on the application you can circle 'pre-comm' under your majors.

but... for the first two years do i have to take general LAS?

thanks~

The answer is yes with a caveat. The college has recommended courses for students to take first and second year: http://www.comm.uiuc.edu/Prospective/PreJRN.html

The caveat is that you need to be aware that major changes are taking place. Beginning in Fall 2006, the college will be accepting sophomores, and beginning either the next year or year after, it will become a four year program that will be accepting freshman.

thank you much. that site was really helpful.
I hope it turns four-year by fall of 2007...::fingers crossed::
