<p>I'd like to hear from others that applied to the College of Education - admitted, denied, or deferred.</p>

<p>U of I wasn't our son's first choice (second choice - he's accepted at his first) - but his application was denied. We're just curious as to what the average stats were of those accepted, denied or deferred to the College of Education.</p>

<p>His stats:</p>

<p>Application Status: Deny-Reviewed
ACT: 27
GPA: 3.4 uw
Rank: 130 out of 400 (relatively tough school)
Quite a few ECs and sports</p>

<p>I'm guessing there either weren't many College of Education applicants or none browse this board??</p>

<p>The vast majority on this board are in Engineering or LAS. I haven't seen anyone who applied to Education, at least not recently. Maybe once the search function is back online, you can search to see if any people applied to Education in past years.</p>

<p>I'm gonna guess that his GPA and rank is what did him in. Especially his rank. Top 32% is pretty bad for UIUC. But ACT score is good for college of education.</p>

<p>its his rank. if it was above 25%, he would of got in.</p>
