I'm thinking about majoring either mechanical engineering or statistics
i seriously do not know which one i like more
so i am just trying to apply to one that is easier to get in...
which one is easier? and is it complicated to change majors if i get in?

on a difficulty scale: stats>engineering

LSA is easier to get into than CoE. If you get accepted into CoE you can switch into LSA easily; the other way around is a bit more work but still not terribly difficult.

agree with chinaismine

wait so stats is harder than mechanical eng but COE is harder than LSA?
and is it possible to change major right after i enroll?

wait my bad. engineering>stats.

source: my cousin is currently in CoE

how much harder is COE?

"on a difficulty scale: stats>engineering "

LOL if that were true then IOE would be harder than any other engineering discipline because stochastic probability and programs >>> LSA Stats

Since we all know that it’s not true there must be something wrong with the original statement

lol, the stats classes here are not too difficult, even the upper level (400+) courses. I would say, start off in ME, if you don’t like it transfer out.
