So I am looking into the engineering school at Madison and was wondering how difficult it is to get into the engineering program. I know that you have to apply after the first year, but I am a little worried that they deny a bunch of kids and that may affect my decision on the school. More specifically I was wondering on the difficulty of chemical engineering. Any additional information would be helpful.

I think you just need a 2.5 minimum gpa in the required pre-CE classes.

Read the UW Chem E website info. Remember that if you like a subject you are more likely to do well in it. You probably will enjoy your chemistry, math and physics prerequisites and so should do well in them. If you don’t- enjoy or do well- you should rethink your planned major. Any major can be easy or difficult depending on whether or not you feel like putting the required effort into it.
