College of Engineering?

I got into the CoE (kinda a surprise cause i applied under a month ago) and I was wondering how hard is it to transfer from CoE to Ross sophomore year?

UMs CoE is pretty well known, but im from the Wcoast and we dont really hear about it, so are there any majors in CoE that are considered "better" or "more competitive"?

and anybody else who got admitted to CoE, can you please post your stats here:

OTHER HOOKS none really

I remember bearcats saying that everyone of his friends with a 3.3 who applied to Ross got in from CoE.

I imagine a 3.4/3.5 is a pretty safe GPA to say you’ll get in with. The median is about a 2.9 in CoE and the standard deviation is about .45.

Your first semester you probably want to take Econ 101, English 125, either Engr 100 or 101, and whatever Math you need.

You don’t generally declare a major until your sophomore (you can after your first semester, but if you want to transfer to Ross you might as well not bother). I think the highest ranking programs are Mechanical Engineering, IOE, and Nuclear Engineering.

Michigan Engineering is top five in the country. Period. Really only Stanford and MIT are viewed as significantly better.

" Michigan Engineering is top five in the country. Period. Really only Stanford and MIT are viewed as significantly better. "

Both Caltech and Cal are significantly better in engineering

I’ll be a freshman next year, 3.85 GPA, 31 ACT, extreme classes, bad essays. Hi =]

Which Uni is ‘Cal’?

University of California-Berkeley
