College of Human Ecology vs. Industrial Labor Relation

So I am looking to major in public policy in college and going into politics later in life. I was extremely drawn to the PAM program at Cornell but now wondering if the ILR school would be more appropriate. I know Cornell is the right school for me and now I am just trying to find the right school in it for me. I am open to all suggestions!

It’s a tough choice because both programs (along with the gov major in CAS) are great. Really the decision should be personal preference. I recommend looking at the different requirements for each school.

Human Ecology: http://courses.cornell.edu/content.php?catoid=26&navoid=6693
ILR: http://courses.cornell.edu/content.php?catoid=26&navoid=6679

Just from glancing at it, it seems ILR has a more structured path to follow for the school itself while Human Ecology has various distribution requirements such as natural sciences. I’m not in either school so I can’t really speak from experience. I’m in CAS and taking gov classes there, so if you have any specific questions about requirements for that school I can certainly give more first-hand experience.

Can not really give you a comparison, but my D graduated with a PAM minor, & Human Development major. She really enjoyed the College of Human Ecology. The CHE does more research than any of the other 6 Cornell Colleges. Also fairly flexible curriculum which enabled her to take classes in the other colleges.
