College of Letters and Sciences Major Question

<p>Hello:</p>

<p>I am not 100% sure of my major yet (probably either Psych or History), but I know I want to apply to Berkeley and both of those majors are in their College of Letters and Sciences. I have heard that the College admits you first and THEN admits you into your major. For me, this begs the question: Can I complete all my pre-reqs for one major (like History) and then switch majors once I have completed my pre-reqs for another major when I am already at Berkeley?</p>

<p>How important is it to complete all pre-reqs? I'm afraid I might not be able to complete pre-reqs for two majors... How easy is is to switch majors once you have been admitted? Thanks!</p>

<p>okay... you could switch it.. no problem but say that you got admitted with history major and planning to switch it to psych you must be done with all your pre-req to switch and declare!</p>

<p>OK, that is fine... I am completing a lot of the pre-reqs for both History and Psych, so I feel I'll be fine in terms of pre-reqs for both... Thanks!</p>
