College of Letters and Sciences

i found out yesterday that I’ve been offered admission for the spring semester, with my major classification as Letters and Sciences, although I had applied for Computer Science Engineering. Can someone tell me what this major is, why I’ve been classified as such and how I can pursue my first choice major?

Let me answer this by referring you to my post #5 on this thread…

Thank you @maryversity for the link…so I’ll have to take the pre req. courses in math, physics and chem and maintain a gpa of 3.0 and then apply for an internal transfer…but will that delay my graduation? Do a lot of students go through the same process?

Yes as long as you fulfill all requirements satisfactorily you will be admitted without problem. If you have any AP credits that are equivalent for those classes, they are accepted also as long as u get at least a 4, but it’s usually recommended to get a 5. My son has several friends that were “internal transfers”’ to engineering and they are on schedule to graduate on time with him. Of course, there are also students who take an extra semester to help spread out the harder classes ( to reduce stress of an intense workload)…
