<p>Has anyone heard yet from the College of Motion Picture Arts about interviews?</p>
<p>My son got accepted last year and I believe he heard about the interview sometime during this week of February; maybe it was the 6th or 7th. Someone called him and left a voicemail since it was during the day; he got the message while at school and called back to set up the interview; they gave him 2 choices as to when - one was end of Feb(a sunday) and the other was the following sunday.</p>

<p>I’m not really sure on the interviews. I think they call the 48 kids(that’s about how many they interview each year), within a few days of each other as they need to get them scheduled over 2 weekends - usually the last weekend of Feb and first 2 weekends of March - 12 per day - 6 in the am session and 6 in the pm session. Last year they did Oscar Sunday, then the saturday and sunday of the next weekend and then the saturday of the next weekend. I am assuming if they don’t hear back from someone or the person has changed their mind, they will move down to the next person on their list, so potentially it could be over a few days if they are waiting for someone to return the call.<br>
With that being said, I checked with my son at FSU, and he has a friend from his high school who just applied as well - he hasn’t heard from her yet and also said he hadn’t seen anyone on the twittersphere saying they got an interview yet either.</p>

<p>There could also be a delay due to alot going on last week with the animation/digital arts issue with West Palm Beach. Lots of articles about it - could have to move program back to Tally - will know for sure on 2/21. Not sure how FSU is going to handle that.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if the dates are the same for the transfer students as well? I haven’t heard back yet either, and I’m getting really nervous about it. Do they let the applicants know even if the decision is negative?</p>
<p>transfers may be later - do you mean you didn’t apply as incoming freshman? since they only take a very few transfers, they may wait until the freshman applicants are done first. Again, best bet would be to call them.</p>
<p>no I applied as a sophomore, as I am currently a freshman films student at another university. I will call them today.</p>
