Currently a junior in high school, and if accepted into Michigan State University I'll be attending the College of Natural Science ( plan to major in a science and take pre-med courses). Can anyone give me their opinions on the College of Natural Science at Michigan State University?

Also if accepted, I'm interested in Brody Hall... may prefer to stay in their dorms. Can anyone give me information about Brody Hall?

I don't know about it specifically, but if you are interested in natural sciences the Lyman Brigs residential school is very well known, and probably offers a pre-med program.

I thought College of Natural Science was for pre-med courses ( major in like biology etc...). I'm not too sure about Lyman Briggs, I was inform that all your classes are in your residental hall (Holmes) and other students tell me it's more anti/ less social, and experience a hard time meeting other students.

Thanks

brody isn't a hall, it's a group of dorms which form the brody complex.

it's nicknamed 'the brojects' because it's so far away from main campus, has community bathrooms, and you have to walk outside to get to the cafeteria.

Yeah community bathrooms is sorta a disadvantage, as well as it being located far from downtown East Lansing. Although it is close by Frandor ( sorta like a strip mall, and near by franchises). I heard it's a good pick for a freshmen.

Thanks, more answers are welcome.

They are re-doing the brody caf. next year, so by your freshmen year the cafeteria would be finished and from what I hear its suppose to be very similar to Snyder/Phillips. Again I wouldn't suggest living there.

That sounds nice, I heard Snyder/Phillips if not the best cafeteria on campus... one of the best.

I was told they may also remodel the dorms.

Guess I'm graduating too soon to be in the completed Brody Project. Just read a Lansing State Journal Article, and project won't be completed until the graduating class of 2011 enter.
