I just applied regular decision to the college of social sciences and humanities as a political science major. My stats are a but below average for the university as a whole (3.43 gpa and 1930 SAT M:610 CR:650 W:670. 3 APs senior year: Gov, Physcs C and Microecinomics. I am from a competitive high school that sends many kids to top colleges.
Although my stats are somewhat below average, I hope the fact that political science is a less popular/ competitive major will make me a more competitive applicant.
Can anyone confirm or deny my assumption and tell me if I have a decent shot of getting in? Thanks.

Bump please help

Northeastern admits by school but not by major - so you are competing with everybody who applies to that school. (so a unique major does not help)

Thanks that is very helpful. Would you say I have a competitive shot at getting in to the college of social sciences and humanities?

What is the average SAT/GPA for this college? I have a 1990SAT and a 3.7GPA

Mean High School GPA: 3.7
Test Scores – 25th / 75th Percentile
SAT Critical Reading: 630 / 720
SAT Math: 650 / 740
SAT Writing: 610 / 710
What major are you applying for?

Those stas are old. Here are the stats for the freshman class that entered in 2013:

Does anyone have statistics or any idea of what the statistics would look like for the college of social sciences and humanities specifically?

I don’t think Northeastern publishes stats by school.
