So I'm a rising senior and looking at holy cross. Its alumni are fantastic, its academics akin to those of the ives, but I am wondering what the social scene is like there. When I visited my tour guide made a joke that saturday/friday nights the librarians need to kick HC students out to force them to go be social. Are HC students really that boring?! I worked my ass off in high school and told myself that college is where I can get a little crazy and let loose a bit. Has HC really become incredibly strict on partying? Of course you can have fun without alcohol and parties but I would be pretty bummed out if the nightlife at HC consisted of quietly drinking a beer in your dorm with two other people. Holy Cross seems so perfect in every other category, but the bad reviews I am hearing about partying here on CC and on other college review sites have me questioning if Holy Cross is really the best place for me. Honestly, I cannot go to a college for academics alone or partying alone or job placement alone. What I consider paramount is a well rounded college experience, one that I can be happy and proud to look back on.
