Just found out today via email, son accepted into Bandier Program! Modest merit scholarship.

My son also applied to Bandier…he’s in NY tonight at the Allman Brothers concert so he won’t be able to check until tomorrow…congratulations SoCalMusicMom…

Thanks, digialanella. Hope it’s good news and a big exhale for you and your son.

I got accepted earlier today into the Music Education Program. Everyone in my family is so pumped! Go Orange!

Daughter just accepted to Bandier today. Any thoughts about SU vs. Frost School at Miami vs. NYU?

congrats!
i got into visual and preforming arts for Communication and Rhetorical studies!

Musiciansmom…my son was accepted at University of Miami, Business School…would minor in Music Business at Frost…did ED at Tisch (Clive davis) at NYU, was rejected…had the grades and ACT, but didn’t feel he did well with the interview…
right now he’d put Syracuse over Miami as bandier has a lot of hands on experience built into the program. He’s also accepted at American’s Business School and University of Georgia, which has a Music Business concentration…also got into Rutgers and Ithaca…still waiting for Syracuse, Skidmore and Fordham…

Awesome tinahhh - my daughter was accepted in that program as well, she will probably be attending, she got a great financial aid package, we are waiting to hear from one more school that is a reach for her so it’s looking pretty good for SU!!! Go Orange…Congratulations to everyone…

Hello! I need some advice… I didn’t get into Newhouse, but I got into the Department of CRS… I’m a Public Relations major… and I’m going to be moving all the way from California… also planning to loan a huge chunk of my tuition for the next 2 years at SU…

I want to know, is it worth it? Anyone know of PR majors (NOT from Newhouse) doing well after graduation. I’m super lost at thee moment.

anonymouspinay - You should request the viewbook from CRS, they have a section in there of alumni from CRS doing amazing things, one that may be of particular interest to you is Bronagh Mullan Hanley, she graduated from CRS and started her own very successful PR firm that operates out of the San Francisco area (http://www.bignoisepr.com/contact.html)…that might be a great connection for you…the SU alumni and CRS in particular is amazing, they continuly have workshops and guest speakers from the communications industry. I am confident that you and the rest of the CRS students will have no problem gaining meaningful internships and jobs!

ooops, I think I added the link incorrectly in my last post, this one should work.
