I have tried to search... But I guess no one has made this thread!!! So yeah!!! I got in to Wooster! Receive the acceptance email/letter this morning (about 14 hours ago) with a very very good financial aid package. I am from Indonesia, by the way.

I have applied to wooster too but havn’t heard anything yet.I am an international student.
So,you got an email notification of admission or received decision in mail?

DS also received an acceptance the other day. It came in the mail. He applied by 1/15 and, from what I understand, they send out acceptances in batches, depending upon that date you submitted your application.

Quote from Wooster site (FAQ section):

When and how will I receive a decision?

All students will be notified of their admission via the admissions portal and US mail. The notification timeline is different depending on the completed application submitted.

International applicants will be notified within a reasonable timeline after completion of application requirements.

@ august23vn : thank you! Well, it’s not actually a full-ride. i need to pay for my plane tickets, and the tuition definitely is going to be increased in the next four years… they said my scholarship is going to be added as well, but not gonna cover all the increase. so…that my parents need to pay.

Oh I’m so itchy to learn of my decision right now. When did you submit your application?

I sent in everything by Feb 15th, so I suppose I’ll hear back from them by March 15th. Argghhh, I’m dying of anxiety.

Without substantial fin aid I wouldn’t make it. So I’m praying for a full-ride. And they give out 2 full-ride to internationals. So if you get one (yours covers tuition, room and board, right?), it means there’s only one left.

Fierce competition for this small pot of gold as usual, it seems.

@ august23vn I finished everything by January 19, there’s a pretty huge gap! It’s still very very early anyway! Dont lose hope and keep praying!
Yes, my scholarship covers tuition+room+board, and I am not gonna make it without full ride as well. The person I talked to say that they give full ride to 2-3 people every year… So… it might be 3, we dont know
I submit my ISFAA and the financial documentation of my parents thru email (I scanned them). How did you send them in?

Hmm… I got an email from wooster today just saying
Congratulations on your admission to The College of Wooster! We have
experienced a record number of qualified applicants and are delighted to know
you may join Wooster’s talented Class of 2016.

I never went through a portal or anything. hahaha maybe i accidentally deleted the actual email with the portal or something?

Stresscasejen, My daughter was admitted EA to Wooster. We waited forever on her login info but we finally just emailed admissions and asked for it. We never did get any other kind of email with the information in it.

Stresscasejen and CalmlyiChaotic, I never do any kind of login they just sent me the email/letters. Now I’ve been talking to an admssion officer about international students things in Wooster.

Just wondering. Is Wooster known for being disorganized? I’m reading this thread and everyone is having a different experience hearing of their admissions decision…some have checked the portal, others received an email, and yet someone had to call to find out their decision. Our daughter received a letter saying one thing with an enclosed card saying something different a couple months ago. Finally, she was accepted last week and was sent a very nice admissions packet and letter. Can anyone speak to Wooster’s practices, etc…?

Our admissions process was a little confusing also but that was the case at several other colleges. I can tell you that they are hands down the most efficient school at move in. We have three college students and Wooster was by far the most efficient at move in. I also love the Arch program for class sign up during the summer. Good luck!

It’s maddening that some people are hearing so much earlier than others. At my alma mater, it’s 5pm on the 29th for everyone no matter what the outcome. That seems infinitely fairer and kinder to me!

None of this worry that a delay is bad news
