College Official's Report

I'm applying to 6 different schools. I took the "College Official's Report" from the CommonApp to my counselor at my community college. She said I have to go to the dean to get it filled out.

But the counselor also said that before filling it out, I should contact each school and ask whether they accept copies of the form. She said some schools require the official copy, meaning one filled out by hand, not a photocopy.

I thought before I go ahead and contact schools, I should ask here. Does anyone know if what she said is true?

I find it hard to believe that colleges expect the dean/counselor to fill out the same form multiple times.

I agree with you, I’ve never heard of schools not accepting a copy. Most students have multiple applicants which would be a lot of work for school officials.

See if they will copy the filled in forms but leave the signature part blank, so that the Dean could sign all copies, that should be good for all schools.
