Hi,

First of, I'm from Sweden and new to the college-system and know-how - so don't flame me to hard! : )
I'm going to SDSU jan-may 2010. I'm to live closeby campus in a random house - by not living on campus, will this limit my chances of good social life?

Another thing catched my mind, looking at a site that enables students leaving comments about their time at SDSU:

Here it ranks the greek-life and there is random qoutes from students. Claiming there is parties every week etc.

"Greek life is very big at SDSU. The biggest parties go on at Frat Row and they throw them all the time. Each fraternity throws at least one party during the weekend."

"The Greek life is bigger than I thought it would be. The Greeks tend to party more during the week than others. But there is enough going on where you will not be missing out if youre not involved with the system. You dont need to join in if youre looking to have a good time."

=========================================

Here is some qoutes about strictness and non-party:

"The security on campus is extremely tight and this definitely affects the drinking and drug use that surrounds campus. If youre doing something, its quite likely that you will be caught."

" Every fraternity party will eventually get busted up. Cops are always on it here. They dont let anything get by."

in my view, that doesn't add up? SDSU was considered the #5 party school in playboy, how does that work with the comments about police bustin the place all the time?

i've tried asking in the sdsu but no response : )
