I'm aiming to attend a San Diego university, or at least a college very close by. I've always wanted to attend UCSD, but I think the college may be far too out of reach for me now. My total UW GPA is only 3.6. If weighted, it'd be 4.1ish. I don't really have any good extra curricular to back it up, either. Currently, I'm in junior year, and it's about to finish. :\ I've taken only 4 AP classes; I didn't take the World History AP exam, but I'm pretty sure I did well on the Psychology and English Language ones. (Preparing for Biology on Monday) I'm taking 4 or 5 AP classes next year, though. Not sure if that even matters.

So the dilemma here is what college I should think about realistically. I signed up for both the SAT and ACT, but doing the blue book at home, I've scored myself only 1730. Furthermore, my interest in major is Computer Science, which isn't highly supported by my high school (there aren't any challenging courses on the subject). I can self-study during summer if needed.

It may be a little late to decide, but I've only really started thinking hard about the topic recently. Would it be much easier to transfer in to a UC school after attending community college? Are there any good alternative paths?
