College pick troubles~

Alright so i was thinking of going to this one college for undergrad then transfer to another for grad. The reason being is because this one college has the environment thats comforting to me yet it doesnt have the program i want to major in. Thats why i put the "transfer" part in there. Alot of people told me i could do that since "undergrad year doesnt really matter where you take it" Plus i got a 40,000 scholarship over 4 years there.

On the other hand, i could choose to go to this other college that has my intended major. And just stay there i guess. But with no scholarship offered.

Both are out of state and Im wondering whether its true that undergrad year doesnt really matter where you take it or not. What should i do??

And what do you have to do if you want to transfer? i heard something like take a test blah blah just like high schoolers had to take the SAT but on a greater level...

In most cases you have to apply for grad school even if it is at the same University where you’re an undergrad. So I would look for the most rewarding undergrad experience and think about grad school a bit later. You might change your mind about your major or…any number of things. If you’ve got a good scholarship at a good school, I’d grab it, as long as there is a major you’re interested in and that will provide a good springboard to your ultimate major. On the other hand, if you are interested in…philosophy…and would have to study turf management at this school, I’d think it wasn’t a great idea.
