College placement is killing me!?

<p>Okay, so I have a 1990 SAT score and am planning on taking the SAT 2's in June. </p>

<p>The problem is I have a 3.7 weighted GPA because I go to the 1 or 2 public school in California. All my friends think that anything below 2000 is low and right now my class rank is only Top 30% or so. </p>

<p>Am I screwed for top UC's or other prestigious colleges, preferably in state?</p>

<p>How about working on your SAT scores?? Retake in the fall?</p>

<p>You would have a good shot at all UC’s except UCB, UCLA and UCSD and many of the good private schools in the state.</p>
