College Plans Reporting Service Question

Hey everyone!
As I'm sure most of you know, the National Merit Program CPRS response is coming up on the 25. I'm hoping that someone can provide a little more info on how to use this service. My dream school is Princeton, so I feel like I should send to them, no pulling any punches. At the same time, I know that they, like the other Ivys, don't offer any additional money for NMS finalists. Should this be a factor in choosing the other school? Currently I am debating between UChicago (which does give merit money) and Dartmouth (which doesn't) as the second school. Or is this service more valuable as a way of letting these schools know that you're interested?

Thanks!!

This initial CPRS is of little importance for these top 20 schools. What might matter will be next year when you designate a first choice school. But anyway, the Ivies do not care if you list them as part of these 2 schools for now. Stanford, the Ivies, and other top 20 schools largely will not consider this as a major factor for admission or merit money.
