A finalist for the summer school program is notified 2 days ahead of time. 20 finalists for 10 spots. They’ll find out eventually. Last question, idk, but for the Individualized counseling award, they had to write a personal statement

For the telecounseling thing from Amherst, it says 100 students get it, but if you click on it again and read in detail, it’ll say something like 200?

Same thing for the travel grants. It says around 220 if you read in detail, but on the actual awards page, it said only 100.

-edited since someone provided a better answer to zrathustra’s question-

@ notatruearheel - Perhaps they will do what they did with the counseling: notify so many finalists that they are being considered, yet only accept 100.

I haven’t started studying yet. I hope I can concentrate with all of this waiting. I’m going to go get my tux soon for prom, so that should keep my mind off the wait for awhile.

And I believe the winners for the counseling have already been notified, queensny.

Holy ***|{£]!~! I just got an internship… At OXFORD UNIVERSITY!!! For 2 MONTHS this summer. I know where I’m going. Forget Harvard SSP. They highlighted my ‘success in research’. Ivy league here I go!

@notatruetarheel: I think you just cut a few months off of my life from panic. :P

I have to write a DBQ, start an AP Lang paper (six pages… has anyone read A Vindication of the Rights of Woman?), do a practice AP Art History exam… I think I’ll watch a movie.

I just got off the phone with a Chemistry professor at a prestigious university in the city, and it looks like I just scored myself a full year internship! i"M SO EXCITED!!!

I’m going to have to catch up oh my biochem, though, but if Questbridge denies me similar happiness…well, they can go suck it. :)
