April 24th is the date they’ll let you know about college prep scholarships.

hey does im thinking about applying for questbridge college match for HS class of 2010, does being a Finalist improve your chances for RD at schools like stanford, yale, princeton, and etc?

Blackrose21, they’ll email you if you get it or not

GUYS, so a QB lady called me about the summer program and we talked…but i was SO excited that i could barely talk and didn’t tell her new personal info as much as i would’ve liked…but i think she liked me because i was like happy/over-the-top! haha

also…i didn’t get an e-mail…so what’s going on? o_o

^ not a scam (in case you might think so), she knew all my QB info. and also asked me about extracurricular related information and told me the school i got matched with and everything…but i didn’t get the email. did it get spammed out? :(

hmmm. that sounds a little weird. but probably isn’t a scam. idk. Did you apply for the College Prep Scholarship?
Who knows, depending on your email provider. Cuz even QB tells people to check their spam folders just in case.
which summer program are you referring to?

So, does getting the “prospective applicant” email for the individualized counseling award mean that you are not qualified for the summer program award?
Considering the case of Post#44 and 45 it seems so… Can anybody shed some light on this?

It may just mean that they match various programs individually to various applicants.

On second thoughts, can you clarify, please?

hey, this thread is really quiet compared to the old questbridge college match one. I thought everyone would be excited that the decision will come out in less than 24hours! So, anyone knows how many applicants nationwide are competing for the scholarship?

wow… people have gotten emails already? congradulations!

yeah I know less than 24hrs! hey what programs did u apply?

Oh, I’m not sure myself, but I wouldn’t worry about anything that the program hasn’t directly told you.

Tokenadult, thank you for your response. Agreed, I’ll probably wait. Less than 24 hours… Btw, people, there is no set time at which they will release the results. I called them to confirm. It can be anytime tomorrow.

hi everybody! so wats everyone like?

@Blackrose21

LOL, I applied for almost everything because I probably won’t get into anything, so I thought maybe it would increase my chance of getting in SOMETHING:) I didn’t decide to apply until literally the week before because I didn’t even know it was a legitimate scholarship, so I only gave my teacher about a week to write a recommendation. And I haven’t even taken the SAT yet, so I think I’m not even legible for most summer programs. I mainly applied because QB sent periodic emails of encouragement, so I thought I should give it a try.

^ PSAT scores can be used in lieu of SAT (I believe standardized tests scores are not required or are of little significance for CPS

lol im not guaranteed anything bc of the email i received; it was just notifying me i was a potential recipient; that phone call about the summer programs seems like a much more solid deal haha.

@xrCalico23

yeah at the time I didn’t take the SAT scores and I only did the PSAT which were old and I didn’t do very well in. LOL I applied to everything too. They all looked good to me so I figured why not apply to all of them. Wish you guys the best of look in he next few hours.

yeah i received that email too. I put everything I got into that prompt because i felt that it was the only chance I had to get anything. If i don’t get the summer program, i would be happy to at least get. (But that summer program does sure sound nice, LOL)
