So I'm Asian (from Bangladesh) and I was wondering if its better for Whites and Asians to not mention what race they are on their apps? Just choose not to answers it.

Bump…I’d like to know

Idk but I’d guess that they would know you’re not (insert desired race) once they see your name. For example… If you’re last name is Patel, they’ll kinda know where you’re from even if you don’t say it directly.
So I doubt it matters. But idk

i’ve heard it is best to choose “I prefer not to say” on the common app and what not. but the thing is that like what aluminum_boat said, it doesn’t make a huge difference.

if you’re last name is “chen” or “yamaguchi” or “patel” like that, they’re gonna know. so doesn’t really make a huge deal.

I’m what’s normally considered a “desirable” race for college admissions (though it’s sorta considered undesirable everywhere else. Not that CC could care, people here just like to yell about affirmative action.) I still rarely give my race in anything that asks. If you don’t want to put it, don’t put it.
