College rape victims offer advice to others in their plight

1 in 11 children suffer from Thalamasia disease.

Exactly.

[Availability heuristic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Availability heuristic - Wikipedia)

That depends on the sample. In statistics, we don’t use the population but the sample.

If the size of the sample is only 4 people. It is not unlikely that you could get 3 people who are raped. Voila.

If you agree that your odds are not really “slim to nil,” then as I said, we don’t disagree. But that isn’t what you said. It’s kind of silly to get so angry with me for something that YOU SAID.

People tend to fear things that are out of their control. Most people tend to find it terrifying to be put in a life threatening situation where they have little to no control, such as plane crashes, terrorist attacks, or being raped. But after the Christmas Eve day almost terrorist attack, it is kind of understandable at the moment despite the significantly low statistic.

However, it is easier for people to be less afraid of eating unhealthy or smoking because it is generally something that is in their own control, which means if they want to take themselves out of the situation they can. Unfortunately, too many people don’t take themselves out of the situation because they tend to push it to the back of their mind rather than concentrate on it.

But on the reverse,
Look at the guys from Duke.
They never got an official “apology” from the faculty.

Just because a girl yells rape does not mean there was.

My guess would be this article’s idea of “rape” is much different than “rape”. I’d say the REAL definition of “rape” would be 1 in every 10-15 women.

Yeah, it’s terrible that serious and false allegations were leveled against those Duke guys. The head prosecutor was almost criminal himself in his witholding of evidence.

But, they were also paying women to perform sexual acts on them who otherwise wouldn’t in the first place. Classy fellows, right there.

If a schizophrenic individual stops taking their meds and commits a crime, they cannot cop an insanity defense. Their mental state at the time they chose to stop taking their meds is considered paramount.

If a drunk driver kills another driver, they cannot claim diminished capacity. Their mental state at the time that they chose to ingest the alcohol is what matters.

Ditto for anything ranging from assault to spending money on useless garbage. Diminished capacity cannot apply unless the defendant entered the diminished state outside of their own control.

Given these precedents, why does a woman who CHOOSES to get drunk or high get to have her inebriated state considered, and why are men not extended the same courtesy? It’s a double standard, and it’s a ******** standard at that. If a woman says no, or is passed out while drunk fine, that’s certainly rape and the assailant should be punished. However if she consented after willingly becoming intoxicated, the “rapist” shouldn’t be liable.
