Do you think it's a problem to ask a teacher for a college rec if you got a 4 on the ap from his/her class? If the teacher really knows you and gave you excellent grades in the class do you think a 4 will really hurt the rec? Also, when the teacher writes the rec do you think he/she will be more likely to talk about your work in the class/your character more or less than your grade on the ap? I know that I should really be asking my teacher this q or at least other kids who got recs from him/her, but whats your opinion? thankss

No, I think a teacher will talk more about your participation in class/ your work ethic etc. more than your AP score. If the teacher agrees to write you a rec, then you have to assume that they will right good things (of course it depends on the teacher). Still, a 4 is not a bad grade, and most colleges accept it for credit.

You really shouldn't be worried...

Thanks for the confidence boost. I just wish so badly that I got a 5 so it would be a non-issue. I'm sure your right though, I bet I'm worrying to much about it.

holy crap calm down a 4 is great!

i hope you don't use it because a 4 sux

haha i'm convinced that it's fine. i think ill end up asking that teacher
