Hey Everyone,
I'm a junior but I like to have things somewhat planned out so I just wanted some advice/feedback on colleges. I live in Northern Virginia. My financial situation is somewhat complicated right now but from what I understand, when I apply to colleges I use the total salary of my primary guardian(my mom has custody) which I believe should allow me to qualify for a decent amount of aid and for some schools(like some of the ivies) attend for free.

My Statistics:
Weighted GPA: 4.15(Lowest it will be by the end of Junior Year)
Class Rank: School doesn't say but I know I'm in the top 5% out of 800 students
SAT: 620W, 660CR, 720M (That was my first time, I just took it again this morning and I'm feeling pretty good about it)
SAT II: 780 Math L. 2, 710 World History
AP's:
Sophomore: World History(4), Statistics(4)
Junior: Calculus BC, US History, Language, Economics(Micro and Macro), Spanish Lang
Senior(Planned): Comp. Government, Multivariable Calc/Linear Algebra*, Computer Science, Physics C, Lit(or Psych)

Honors:
Freshman: History, English, Alg.2, Bio
Sophomore:English, Precalc, Chem
Junior: Physics

Extracurricular**: Math Honor Society(3), History Honor Society(2), English Honor Society(2), Model UN(3), Speech/Debate(2), Scholastic Bowl(2), Football(1.5), Tennis(1)

Summer after Sophomore year I attended Governor's School for Agriculture and Life Science at Virginia Tech

Right now I am doing VASTS(Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars-I receive 2 college credits for Intro to Aerospace upon completion)

For summer after this year I'm trying to get an internship

I want to get into the Automobile Industry as an engineer and develop into Marketing or Product Development. I'm thinking of Mech. Engineering with a minor in Economics(I'm really interested in Economics). Any alternative ideas would be welcomed.

Colleges planned on applying to so far:

Safety:
George Mason
Virginia Tech(Of all the in-state schools I like VTech the most because of the engineering program and I lived on the campus for a month for Governor's School)

Match:
UVa

Reach:
Duke
Cornell
Stanford

The way I think about colleges now is I'm really confident I will get into VT which has a top 15 Mech. Engineering program and it would most likely be cheaper than other colleges so the only out of state colleges I plan on applying to are colleges which I think are much better than Virginia Tech. If you have any other colleges which you think would be a good fit or just think I'm thinking about the college process wrong please just tell me.

I really appreciate the help. Thank you and sorry for the extremely long message.
