What's the maximum/minimum of rec's you can have?

Can I just have a run-down of all the stuff needed for rec's, or any tips/advice.

3 people come to mind when thinking of whom I want writing my recommendation.

2 is recommended. 3 if you must--but you should get all the important stuff in 2, it shouldn't take 3. There's an entire thread on recommendation letters.

If you're gonna get three I'd probably have the third be from an advisor in your most important extracurricular. Like my third will be from my band teacher.

i have a recommendation from a high school, a college professor i had an internship with, and a state representative i had an internship with. no formal sheets just written letters to send with my application. would you recommend sending all these in.

I want one from my private quarterback coach, a teacher from India that visited us (we had this debate thing, and I went all out w/ it. video taped it for her and sent her a copy so she could show her students now and in the future), and my AP English teacher this past year (I had her freshman year, too. I know her well).

It would be okay if it was typed and had a signature at the bottom, right? Plus, is there any specific format that they should follow (idk if commonapp has something)?

Yes, the letters are supposed to be typed, printed, and signed at the bottom. There's no specific format, but make sure your teachers also fill out the form on the common app (ratings, how long the teachers have known you,...)

How long should a rec be?

A page?

yeah mine around 3 quarters of a page to a page
