College Resume

I'm a bit confused over how the format should be. Our eng teacher wants to see one with four main points: academic, extracurricular, community service, work, etc. But from what I've seen, it's supposed to be 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th all separated.

does anyone have an example of one? It would be so very helpful!

also: what else should I add? Should I put SAT score into math, verbal, and writing? What about GPA? can I round it from 3.58 to 3.6? or is that not allowed?

please let me know! thank you!!!

My bro got into some really awesome schools, and he sent a resume to all of them.

His went something like this:

Name
Address
City, State
Number

                      SAT Scores
            SAT Subject Test Scores

OBJECTIVE:

EDUCATION:

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES:

LEADERSHIP POSITIONS:

HONORS/ AWARDS:

I'm doing mine a little differently to cator to my strenghts, but this is a simple, formal resume. Be sure to keep it under two pages. No one likes a lengthy resume. Only the big stuff!
Hope this helped some.

*the personal info and sat scores were all centered. Everything else followed in list format.

Thanks! This helps a bit. What does the 'Number' mean?

nvr mind. number is phone number.

what if I want to divide my resume into sections with 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade and put my activities and honors, volunteer, etc there? how would I do that? and how do I organize gpa and sat?

oh, yeah I forgot to mention that the GPA went right above SAT scores.

You can really list SAT scores in any way that is simple and concise. After all, they are going to get them in several other places in your app. But Something like...

SAT: CR */ Math */ W *

That's probably not the best way, but again, it shouldn't make much difference. I would put the superscore though.

I would strongly advise not to divide your sections by year. I would put your most involved/strongest statistics first and put years in (). ex. soccer (9,10,11,12)

Resumes are generally flexible. This is how mine will be done though.

Thank you so much.

Looking at this, it looks neat, but kind of bunched up together:

GPA:
SAT Score:
Rank:

my teachers asks that we put it on the top with the header, but it looks so crowded up there. I'm thinking about trying to place it into the academic/education section, but is there a better way? I think I'm overthinking this.

would listing AP classes be beneficial if I have an increasing amount of those over time?

^that would be on your transcript
