I've always been a fan of CC, especially for direct comparisons of schools and the caliber and knowledge of CC users. I have been on 26 college visits so far in addition to a number of collegiate summer programs (I'm at Harvard SSP as we speak)... thus my "credentials."

I have kept a blog of all of my impressions on visits, much like what you see on CC's visit sites, but with a little more subjectivity and a little more emphasis on issues that, in my view, count more than "campus safety" or "location," emphasizing each school's academic program and how each defining aspect of an institution affects undergrads.

I'm still an amateur blogger, so I'm really looking to make my blog more professional. Please check out my blog and either post below on CC or make comments on the blog posts of things you like or dislike, or posts you see are missing that could be of use to high school students new to the admissions process.

My blog is called College Review by J-Cat:

College Review by J-Cat

Posts (28) of interest include reviews of: UChicago, Harvard, Cornell, Middlebury, Hamilton, Colgate, Bates, Bowdoin, Williams, Swarthmore, Davidson, Kenyon, Carleton... in addition, there are several articles on college admissions and perspectives from different admissions offices and book reviews.
