College Search Advice for a Jersey Girl who's Good at Math and Loves her Job

I think residential colleges offer lots f opportunities to get involved in the community and a small town or village may be just as in need of volunteers as a city.
However, it sounds like the op really wants a college town or something akin to that.

I agree, go for the Robertson, Jefferson, Moorehead, etc

If you can try to get early t release and take a class at the closest U that isn’t Princeton AND get involved in any kind of research starting this summer at Princeton - not classes but still pretty good. Are you in AoPS?

Can you get your hands on cal Newport s book_ how to be a high school superstar _?
You’d enjoy meeting the students there:)

@MYOS1634 thanks for the tips! I am on AoPS.

“Meeting” might be improper " … Reading" about them would be more appropriate
Have you tried taking subject tests or are you scheduled for the june ones?
What’s your schedule next year?

@MYOS1634 I got an 800 on Math 2, taking Physics, Spanish, Literature (maybe not all the smartest choices-the lit was to get admitted to Rutgers in case I didn’t graduate and went after junior year) on June 6.

On the contrary, those are very good choices, with nice balance between stem and humanities.

@MYOS1634 oh and courses for next year: English 3, AP World, PE/Health, Choir, Chinese (not sure which level), AP Bio, and math at Princeton U.

If you don’t mind answering…what is your p/t job? You seem enthralled by it…is this a possible career path?
