College Search asks for "HS GPA"...

Hello,
I'm looking to transfer for Fall '12 so I've been looking for schools. I've been taking a lot of college finding quizzes online that ask what type of school you're looking for, what you can afford, etc. I've also been taking similar quizzes where you enter the school you want to apply to and your "high school GPA" and it spits out your chance of getting accepted. Many of these quizzes ask for your high school GPA, assuming that you're not a transfer. I've been listing my first semester/first year of college GPA which is significantly better than what I finished HS with. Do you think this will make a major difference?

Probably, but remember, when you transfer you will most likely have to send in your high school transcript and disclose your GPA. So, you can use your college GPA but, they will find out your high school GPA one way of another.

Also, since you have succeeded in college and have a good GPA that will show the admissions office that you have improved since HS and are serious about college. So, don’t worry about your HS GPA too much as a transfer just know that it will be disclosed.
