College search help

Alright so I'm a junior in high school looking for colleges. I've thought about either NYU or Oberlin two really tough schools. But i just want to know what else is out there. I want to go to an open minded school in a city with a wide variety of majors and minors. I'm thinking of majoring in engineering sciences, alongside something with either mathematics law or something in the medical field. For minors I'm thinking art (graphic design, printmaking, painting fine art, digital arts), music, theater (stagecraft, musical theater drama)
I've been in all APs and honors through high school, GPA as of this year is a low 90 been in a whole assortment of after school activities. SATs...gonna bring that up-hopefully.

Have you actually looked at the schools you’ve mentioned? Oberlin is 45 minutes away from Cleveland, the closest city, and their engineering program is a 3+2 meaning you take the first three years at Oberlin and then get your actual engineering classes at a different school.

Generally, engineers apply to the College of Engineering at a university and the curriculum doesn’t allow for much exploration of minors. Sounds like you need to stick to math or science and apply to the College of Arts and Sciences. Do a search on this web-site for universities located in or near cities. There will be lots of recommendations. You can then match yourself based on the area of the country and your anticipated SAT scores.

What’s your cumulative GPA and current SAT score?
